The event took place at the premises of the National Center for Natural Sciences Research &#8211; EKEFE Demokritos where the smart city applications installed on the Campus were presented in real operation.</p><p>The president of Dotsoft, Mr. <strong>Manos Anastasios</strong>, presented the <strong>SmartisCity</strong> central smart city platform as well as the <strong>Datagers</strong> smart city operating platform that have been installed and are operating productively at EKEFE Dimokritos. It is an innovation ecosystem, which aims to support the acceleration of Greece&#8217;s digital transformation through the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G and will function as a living laboratory of expository technologies, utilizing the most innovative applications of the 4th industrial revolution. Already, 11 IoT applications have been installed at EKEFE Dimokritos, with the aim of strengthening the country&#8217;s businesses in the effort for a more sustainable and digital future.</p><p>The event was welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. <strong>Thodoris Livanios</strong>, who spoke about the government&#8217;s actions regarding the Digital Agenda, but also the opportunities of Local Government Organizations for Digital Transformation within the context of the Recovery Fund and the NSRF.</p><p>The event was attended by Mayors, elected officials and officials of the Local Government from the Municipalities of Ioannina, Mandra &#8211; Idyllia, Xanthi, Heraklion Crete, Piraeus, Trikala, Rafina, Ilio, Marousi, Aigaleo, Korydallo, Agioi Anargyroi &#8211; Kamatero, Petroupoli, Elliniko &#8211; Argyroupoli, Chaidari, Megara, Metamorfosi, Elefsina, Agia Varvara, Peristeri, Kos, Byron, Ilioupoli, Paiania, but also from the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE).</p><p>During presentation, local government officials, had the opportunity to see live the applications developed by Vodafone in collaboration with DOTSOFT SA, at the Giga Campus of Dimokritos and at the Lefkippos Technology Park.</p><p>On the occasion of the successful organization of the event, the General Manager of Vodafone Business, <strong>Giorgos Tzanetakos</strong> said: &#8220;Giga Campus by Vodafone &amp; Demokritos is a model smart city &#8211; perhaps the most advanced in the country &#8211; and acts as a case study for the possibilities it promises to bring technology to the citizens, businesses and organizations of Greece. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The company Eur.Elec in collaboration with the company Dotsoft and e-Trikala SA, implemented the first installation of smart pedestrian crossing with mechanical vision technology in Greece, at the crossing of St. Sarafi Street in the Municipality of Trikala.</p>
<p>The system consists of a mechanical vision camera, which detects pedestrians crossing the passage and automatically activates warning equipment, in order to draw the attention of drivers who move their vehicles towards the crossing.</p>
<p>More specifically, the system control unit automatically commands to increase the brightness of the LED sign of the passage, while at the same time activating yellow warning lights on the masts. In the meantime, it activates flashing LED elements on the road, which are visible from a long distance from the drivers.</p>
<p>In addition to increasing pedestrian road safety, the system also functions as a smart hub for real-time traffic and environmental data collection, using microwave sensors (radar), as well as sensors for measuring temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, microparticles, etc.</p>
<p>It should be noted that the system is fully compliant with personal data legislation, as the mechanical vision camera does not detect or record persons or other characteristics of by-passers.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>DOTSOFT SA signed a new contract with Evros Dimosineteristiki SA in the context of the implementation of the project &#8220;Green Urban Territories-Better Place to Live&#8221; with the acronym GUT-BPL.</p>
<p>The project concerns the supply and installation of three floor charging stations for new construction electronic cars and includes the equipment (charging stations), the transfer of equipment to the relevant Municipalities, its assembly, the cost of supply of all necessary materials &amp; micromaterials, the installation of equipment at the points indicated by the Municipalities, the connection of the charging stations, their regulation, control and delivery in full operation, the training of the staff and the technical support of the system.</p>
<p>The installation of the charging stations will take place in easily accessible places that will be indicated by the Municipalities of Alexandroupolis, Soufli and Samothrace.</p>
<p>This supply is financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund ERDF) at a rate of 85% and from national resources through the Public Investment Program at a rate of 15%.</p>

<p>With the project, the Municipality of Preveza aims at the creation and installation of a personalized Smart City Software Platform in cloud computing, for the download, collection, processing and computational analysis of pilot application data and other available open source data in order to inform the citizen and the public. for decision making.</p>
<p>The implementation of pilot actions and smart city applications includes:</p>
<ul>
<li>Urban Mobility Management and Monitoring Center and the key indicators of SVAK, with data collection in the field, automatic processing and analysis for decision making</li>
<li>Waste collection fleet management system with automatic weighing of collection quantities in the field</li>
<li>Remote recording and energy management system in the municipal lighting network</li>
</ul>
<p>The Center for Management and Monitoring of Urban Mobility of the Municipality of Preveza contributes to the promotion of sustainable mobility in the city by placing in the center of planning and management of transport the mobile, both permanent resident and visitor, while also serving its broader objectives implementation of SVAK. The specialized software has three subsystems: 1) Subsystem for data collection and processing of sustainable mobility and monitoring of SBAK indicators, 2) Subsystem for real-time traffic data collection and 3) Subsystem for information and interaction with citizens within the SVAK.</p>
<p>Energy management software incorporates a holistic approach to managing the energy data and additional information that will be collected.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>New collaboration of DOTSOFT with the Municipality of Patras for the implementation of the project &#8220;Development of a Network of Smart Sensors to improve the quality of the Urban Environment of the Municipality of Patras&#8221;.</p>
<p>The object of the contract is the creation of a distributed network of smart sensors that can measure many parameters for a more efficient management of the environment of the Historic Center of the City. Through the network of smart sensors, the following is sought:</p>
<ol>
<li>Implementation of smart city solutions to improve the microclimate of urban areas and protect the environment.</li>
<li>Measurement of the environmental data of the Historic Center of the Municipality of Patras, in order to identify the areas that need protection and to make the necessary interventions.</li>
<li>Recording and control of environmental pollution, air quality, noise pollution and light pollution through Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and identification of existing and projected percentages / indicators.</li>
<li>Control and measurements of electromagnetic radiation in the urban fabric.</li>
<li>Improving the quality of ICT services provided through multi-channel distribution.</li>
<li>Increasing access to open data.</li>
</ol>
<p>Citizens will be provided &#8211; through smart infrastructure data presentation applications &#8211; with the ability to view useful information collected through a network of smart sensors that will be deployed at various locations and based on Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. Citizens will monitor in real time the analysis of the collected data on the quality of the urban environment (eg electromagnetic radiation, noise levels, air pollution, etc.).</p>
<p>In addition to the interventions that require the supply and installation of a network of sensors and in general the necessary equipment, the development of a portal as well as an application for mobile devices as a tool to provide information services to citizens is envisaged. In addition, an administrator’s platform will be developed for the responsible managers of the Agency, which will enable the management of the sensor network. Finally, the project requires the necessary additional services: a) implementation study / project specification services b) training services for system administrators and c) preparation of management documents and use of software and interface environments.</p>
<p>Specifically, the project will include the following subsystems:</p>
<p>Subsystem 1: Network of sensors for the collection of environmental data, which will be installed in specific locations in the city center. The sensor network will be the basic infrastructure through which data on environmental conditions will be collected and the data captured within the urban fabric of the Municipality of Patras. The subsystem, through the appropriate software should allow the operation control as well as information for any failures of the sensor network.</p>
<p>Subsystem 2: Applications for citizens. In the context of the implementation of this subsystem, the following applications will be developed that will offer information services to citizens:</p>
<ul>
<li>Web Portal, through which environmental data and conditions will be monitored, information will be provided for the gathering of the public as well as an information service for emergency environmental conditions in real time.</li>
<li>Application for mobile devices (at least for operating iOS and ANDROID) which the citizen will be able to download from the respective online ‘stores’ (Apple and Google Play store). The application will enable it to monitor in real time the environmental conditions that will result from the data that will be collected from the network of installed sensors (Subsystem 1) in the urban web of the city.</li>
</ul>
<p>Subsystem 3: Integrated Management System, for Operating Officers, which will provide at least a high level of monitoring of the operational status of all sensors and will be able to process real-time data so that at least the appropriate information grid can be configured to be available on interface channels with end users (citizens).</p>
<p>Subsystem 4: System interface software with third-party applications and platforms. This subsystem will provide through web services all the data collected through the sensor network and will be able to extract data from third party systems as long as they have open data and accessible through corresponding electronic services.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The system concerns the temporary parking of vehicles and aims at consuming the minimum time to find a place for users, ensuring as much free parking space as possible but also to prevent parking in places that create a traffic problem. For this purpose, specialized equipment will be used such as electronic signs that will inform drivers about the traffic load of vehicles on the roads and the available parking spaces.</p>
<p>The controlled parking system will be implemented with 850 underground sensors that will inform whether the spaces are occupied or not. At the same time, the Municipal Police will utilize the data from the sensors, in order to carry out the controls as immediately and easily as possible.</p>
<p>There will be a central real-time information system, both for the management system of the whole system, but also for the drivers. Through this system, the Management Service will be able to control the system and its better operation as well as the citizens to be more easily led to empty parking spaces and to be served in the best possible way. The system will also be flexible in terms of billing and payment methods.</p>

<p>The executives of the Municipality will be able to manage different subsystems, to control smart devices and sensors of different types regardless of the way and their possibilities of interconnection, to collect data from the devices / sensors and to have the possibility of remote monitoring of the status and operating parameters all individual devices / sensors defined in the system with an immediate overview of the state of the current sensor / device infrastructure.</p>
<p>This integrated system is based on the following axes:</p>
<p>a) collection of meteorological and environmental conditions data in selected parts of the Municipality through sensors &#8211; environmental stations,</p>
<p>b) Smart Parking system,</p>
<p>c) system for monitoring and measuring the fullness of the bins,</p>
<p>d) wireless Access to services of the Municipality and the Internet,</p>
<p>e) in the integration of the existing systems of the Municipality and</p>
<p>f) in the information of the citizens and visitors of the Municipality with a number of useful data.</p>

<p>Upon completion of the project, the Municipality will have a complete system for:</p>
<ul>
<li>controlling the fullness of bins located in remote areas and in crowded places such as schools, public buildings, KAPI, churches, rural clinics, etc.</li>
<li>the utilization of new technologies for the information and improvement of the everyday life of the Citizen</li>
<li>continuous monitoring of sources of air pollution in real time through a network of sensors of flexible environmental stations</li>
<li>the operation of an electronic protocol system, archiving and distribution of documents and workflow for the needs of the Municipality</li>
<li>the expansion of the existing geospatial information infrastructure of the Municipality in order to integrate in it the new data that will emerge from the action. In addition, the structure will be enriched with additional data that have not yet been included in it. In this way the Municipality will obtain a common business image for all its data that have a geospatial status</li>
<li>the control of the movement of all garbage trucks, civil protection vehicles as well as construction site vehicles by extending the existing fleet monitoring and management system</li>
<li>the automatic recording of drinking water consumption, but also the detection of leaks using &#8220;smart water meters&#8221;</li>
