The project involves the implementation of a comprehensive digital transformation program in the Municipality of Paggaio, with the aim of enhancing urban functionality, improving services, and ensuring sustainable resource and data management. The central axis is the creation of a unified digital management platform that interoperates with all individual systems and aggregates their data for real-time monitoring and decision-making.

Smart Pedestrian Crossings

Installation of automatic pedestrian presence detection systems, which activate light signals for safe crossing at high-risk locations. Machine vision technology and microwave sensors are used, while traffic and environmental data are collected in parallel.

Municipal Fleet Management

Development of a telematics system for locating, controlling, and optimizing the movement of municipal vehicles. It includes GPS/GPRS units, route data collection, fuel consumption monitoring, and remote management capabilities.

Digital City Guide

Creation of a digital platform for the presentation and networking of local businesses and points of interest. It provides the ability to create digital profiles, promote products/services, and map the municipality’s themes with an emphasis on local development.

Smart Irrigation System

Installation of sensors in boreholes and irrigation points to collect critical parameters (humidity, pressure, flow). The system is integrated into the existing infrastructure of DEYAP and allows for remote, automatic, or manual irrigation management with the aim of saving water and energy.

Central Smart City Platform

This is the core of the project and serves as a point for collecting, analyzing, and displaying all data from the individual systems. It supports open, expandable architecture, interoperability with third-party systems, event and alert management, and the creation of performance indicators.
